1eko is a local-services marketplace that helps consumers request quotes and helps independent service providers respond to relevant local opportunities. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the website, submit a service request, create a professional profile, communicate through the platform, or use an account.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code, town or state, service category, job description, urgency, uploaded job photos, quote details, business information, service areas, verification information, reviews, messages, billing records, and support communications. We also create technical records such as request identifiers, consent timestamps, session information, approximate network information, security events, referral or source information, and platform activity needed to operate and protect the service.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage quote requests, find eligible providers, show providers enough information to evaluate an opportunity, deliver quotes, maintain private request pages, process provider billing, verify businesses, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, improve matching and user experience, measure site performance, maintain audit records, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Sharing a service request

When you explicitly agree to provider contact, 1eko may share the information in that request, including your contact details, with up to the number of matched providers shown in the consent language. The default platform limit is up to three providers. We do not represent that every request will receive three matches or three quotes. A request may receive fewer responses when provider coverage or availability is limited.

Independent providers

Businesses listed or matched through 1eko are independent service providers. They are not employees or agents of 1eko. Providers are responsible for their own licenses, insurance, qualifications, prices, work, contracts, taxes, warranties, and compliance obligations. Where verification indicators are shown, they describe checks recorded by the platform and are not a guarantee of future performance.

Communications

We may send transactional messages needed to operate a request or account, such as confirmation, quote, selection, billing, verification, or security notices. If you separately consent to SMS or marketing communications, those choices can be managed through the applicable preference or opt-out mechanism. Message and data rates may apply to SMS. We do not use a service-request consent as permission for unrelated marketing.

Billing information

Provider payments may be processed by third-party payment processors. 1eko should not store complete payment-card numbers in its application database. We retain transaction references, amounts, status, credits, refunds, and related billing records needed for account management, disputes, accounting, security, and legal compliance.

Cookies and sessions

The site may use essential cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, session security, preferences, abuse prevention, and platform operation. Analytics technologies may be enabled when configured. Where consent is legally required for a non-essential technology, the platform should provide the applicable choice before that technology is used.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or misuse. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including active requests, business relationships, fraud prevention, dispute handling, financial recordkeeping, legal obligations, and backup or recovery needs. Retention periods may differ by record type.

Your choices and requests

Requests may require identity verification, and some records may need to be retained where permitted or required by law. Account and communication preferences should be available through the relevant account area or support process.

1eko is designed for adults seeking or providing local services and is not intended for children to submit service requests independently.
